Anya George

Anya is a Director in the Commercial and Conveyancing Department at Van der Spuy & Partners. She commenced her articles at Van der Spuy & Partners in 2016 and was admitted as an Attorney in March 2018 and as a Conveyancer in August 2020.

Anya matriculated from Parel Vallei High School in Somerset West and went on to study at Stellenbosch University where she obtained a BA degree in Law and Philosophy and a postgraduate LL.B. During her final year of her LL.B degree, Anya had the opportunity to serve as an assistant at the South African Research Chair in Property Law where she gained valuable insight and knowledge in the area of property law.

Anya’s primary focus is on conveyancing and Property Law related matters. She also has an interest in consumer law, specifically the National Credit Act, the Consumer Protection Act.

Anya enjoys guiding clients through legal processes by breaking it down into everyday language and equipping clients with knowledge of their legal rights and options. She prides herself on her attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills and timeous implementation of client instructions and strategies
